It is important that everyone understand that the DC protocol is not safe for us to use inside the technion.Because DC relies on HUBS to operate, it is very very easy for the TCC to shut the DC down.
Project Hydra will use a Program which will use a Network Without HUBS! so no action by the TCC can shut us down.
Please do not be tempted to continue using DC.
If we continue to use DC we will always be weak and vulnerable, while Poject hydra will make us Invincible. (because it also encrypts the transfers).

operating a DC hub is not illegal in Israel.
we r not the first nor the only who do so.
the technion may do whatever they want with the limited (anyway) internet connection they provide.
however, as long as bidirectional communication is not blocked by the technion internet provider, the communication with the hub also can't be blocked.
bidirectional communication required by many other applications but DC. even viewing the standard page of the Gmail Inbox requires this.
project hydra on the other hand operates without hubs. hub is required in order to maintain a reliable and fast communication between users on the network. in a hubless p2p networks- searching for a files is slow. the search also doesn't propogates to all the clients (only to many clients). chatting as we know it from the DC++ is also impossible.
file sharing without a hub is not as simple and efficient as with it.
however, emule operates on 2 networks at once: their normal ed2k network, and the hubless KAD network. from the KAD network u get a higher download rates, but it starts much later than the downloads in ed2k network and there r less files available.
for my opinion searching for files fast (in seconds), is much more important than download speed. although the DC hubs provide as with both.
in order to make the currently running DC++ hub unclosable, ur help is required.
