StrongDC is by far the best DC client and will ensure you can connect to the Hydra Project Easily.
You don't have to get StrongDC, but it is recommended.

How do you expect not to get shut down, when you announce the hub so openly?

is it related to kademlia network (or other DHT)?
because i thought to write (in the summer, maybe) a small program which demonstrate dc server in the client pc and connect to other clients using kademlia network
